Apa itu Niche dan Kenapa Menge-Niche Penting Pulak untuk Internet Marketer?

Selepas bersedia dengan emel dan kata laluan yang kuat, kini kita beralih pula dengan bab pertama perniagaan atas talian (perniagaan internet/online business) dengan menggunakan teknik-teknik pemasaran internet (internet marketing), iaitu mengenai Niche. Perkasa asas tentang Niche ialah:
  1. Apakah Niche itu.
  2. dan Kenapa menge-Niche sangat penting untuk kita.
Kita mulakan dengan suasana "baru hendak membuka perniagaan internet."

Semasa hendak memulakan sesuatu perniagaan, kita mestilah memilih apa yang hendak kita jual. Ada dua kategori popular untuk perniagaan online ini, menjual barangan/produk atau menyediakan perkhidmatan. Dengan menjadikan internet sebagai premis perniagaan, kita perlu melihat samaada terdapatnya permintaan (pasaran) untuk produk atau perkhidmatan kita tadi.

Ini kerana, jika adanya permintaan...
= maka pasaran kita sudah ada,
= maka akan ada pembeli,
= maka kita boleh mula menjual.
= Berita baik, bukan?   :-)

Berkaitan dengan pembeli, atau tahap permintaan, dua aspek ini perlu dikaji dengan bersungguh-sungguh. Secara ringkasnya, pembeli dan permintaan sangat berkait rapat.
  • Jika pembeli ramai, maka pasaran untuk sesuatu produk atau perkhidmatan itu secara logiknya adalah pasaran yang besar kerana permintaannya banyak.
  • Jika kurang pembeli, maka pasarannya boleh dikatakan kecil sahaja (kerana permintaannya sedikit). Beza pasaran yang besar dan kecil ini bakal mempengaruhi keputusan kita untuk terus berusaha menjual atau tidak.

Akan tetapi, antara pasaran yang besar dengan pasaran yang kecil ini, terdapatnya satu pasaran aneh lagi unik. Tidak dipengaruhi oleh faktor bilangan pembeli, permintaannya untuk produk atau perkhidmatan darinya tetap ada. Ianya lebih mudah digelar pasaran yang khas istimewa, kerana pembelinya hanya mahukan barangan-barangan tertentu sahaja atau perkhidmatan yang khas untuk mereka sahaja.

Pasaran ini agak sukar untuk diganti dengan produk-produk lain, ataupun diberi layanan/perkhidmatan yang berbeza. Mereka tetap nak yang itu juga. Inilah yang dikatakan pasaran Niche tadi.

Niche, dengan kaa lainnya ialah pasaran yang mempunyai permintaan khas terhadap sesuatu barangan atau perkhidmatan yang tertentu.

Pasaran yang sebeginilah yang dicari-cari oleh seorang internet marketer untuk perniagaan online nya. Anda, (dan juga saya), lebih-lebih lagi untuk mereka yang baru menceburkan diri dalam bidang internet marketing ini, adalah wajib untuk mencari pasaran Niche mereka sendiri.

Apa rasionalnya apa best nya apa pentingnya menge-Niche (mencari Niche) ini?

Kebiasaannya, untuk pasaran yang luas dan besar, produk-produk atau perkhidmatan yang kita jual atau sediakan adalah dari jenis yang memuaskan hati semua para pelanggan kita. Tidak kira umur, jantina, tempat tinggal, kuasa membeli, dan lain-lain, semuanya akan 'berpuas hati' dengan barangan dan perkhidmatan yang sedia ada. Tapi apabila kita menge-Niche, kita hanya akan memuaskan hati sebilangan kecil pelanggan dari pasaran yang besar tadi.

Kenapa mahu sebilangan kecil pelanggan saja? Bayangkan contoh ini. Pasaran besar: menjual ubat. Pasaran kecil sedikit dari itu: menjual pencuci muka. Kecil lagi: menjual pencuci untuk muka yang berminyak. Lagi kecil dari itu: menjual pencuci untuk muka remaja lelaki yang berminyak (ini sudah dikira sebagai pasaran niche). Pasaran besar iaitu menjual ubat tadi mencakupi hampir semua pelanggan kita. Pasaran besar ni sahaja sudah menjana berjuta-juta ringgit. Jika kita ambil sedikit sahaja pelanggan dari pasaran besar ini, bayangkan anda ambil sedikit saja dari juta-juta ringgit dari pasaran besar tadi, haa.. Berapa banyak itu? ;-)

Perlu diingatkan juga, persaingan dalam menyediakan produk-produk dan perkhidmatan untuk pasaran Niche ini amatlah sengit, tetapi, jika anda adalah satu-satunya atau yang terawal sekali menjual dalam pasaran Niche tersebut, anda secara automatis akan menjadi market leader dan tempat rujukan yang utama berbanding mereka yang kemudiannya memasuki pasaran Niche itu tadi.

Tambahan pula, jika anda bermula dari Niche dahulu, lama kelamaan anda akan memasuki pasaran yang besar satu hari nanti. Jika anda seorang freshie internet marketing ini, dengan menge-Niche anda akan dapat merasa income dunia marketing dengan lebih cepat lagi. (Jadi anda akan lebih bersemangat untuk terus maju dalam dunia perniagaan online ini). Jadi, itulah sebabnya kenapa menge-Niche sangat penting untuk kita~~

How to Find & Choose a Profitable Niche? Ver 3.0: Money-Niche Examples >>

I hope that you already finished reading the 'Eye & Ear' and the '5 Value Picks' posts. And now, it's the time to practice them~~
:-D

First and foremost, we need to know what is the 3 for-sure-money-niche in our real world, which, magically applies in our online business world too. It's not a niche literally, (my mistake) but this 3 "general niche" contains a lot of niche with for-sure chances to make money.

While internet marketing world is not limited to these general niches, but each of this niche if done correctly it will definitely make you earn more than your annual salary. ;-)

You wondered why it is called money-niches?

It is because these niches generate lots and lots of money. It is a niche where nobody will resists in spending their money buying products from this money niches. They will buy because they need them to solve their problems, the demand for the products is high and continuous. A money-niche is like a very large pie of cash, and you will make money even if you manage to get even a little slice of this money-niche pie. Hee :-)

But, before that, we need to know two kind of products can be sold online. One is coming from the non-internet world, the physical product, and the other one is the digital product (a product created by using computer software).

Both products can be marketed successfully in any general niche that we gonna learn today. Sometimes your targeted niche may demands for digital products only, and some niche may marketable for both type of products. Do your research and choose wisely~

So, here is the 3 general niches that is labeled as the money-niche~~
  1. Money money
  2. Healthy healthy
  3. Happy happy information~ This is is reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally good, heehee~ :-D

Got it?   ;-)

(Ignore the wordy rhyme, okay?) The first money-niche is about the money itself. It is not about logic, but many of IMers out there is making money in this niche. It is already proven, it is recession-proof, it is weather-proof, time-proof, and many many proof out there. Example from this niche?
  • How to make more money without using any~
  • What is the ultimate 21 deadly money mistakes that can make me lose all my salary?
  • Where can I lazily get money for free?

OK, sorry, sorry~ that is not a very good example. Some example of money niche is about tax, credit cards, credit scores, making money, forex, retirement savings, blah blah blah (almost anything that related with earning more money, making more money, getting more money, etc). Some people are getting crazy being crazy and definitely crazy simply by reading how they can make more money~ ;-)

Now, the Healthy healthy money-niche.
Being healthy all the time is one of our ultimate dream. How come any of us who wants to be sick all the time? Nobody right? (Nobody - Wonder girls). Example of healthy healthy niche: acne cure (facial problems), lose weight, beautiful hair, looks and becomes younger, six packs, baby products, sickness recovery, keeps healthy, and blah blah blah again~

The third one, Happy happy information is a money-niche out of this world~
Can you imagine people is so desperate, is so atrocious, so furious just about getting the right information? How about getting the first to know that information? Or the one who had the only information?? Sometimes, information equals to.. power, money, status, our continuity, etc.. (I think you get the idea already). After we get the information we wanted, we become happy~ So a happy happy information is a money-niche that covers all information we (probably) can sells it to people who needs it the most.

And not all information can be sold, and I am sure you know what type information is that. Full stop. Happy happy information is a money-niche filled with prickly buyers~ You give them wrong information, bad one or low quality information, unrelated, then you get unhappy buyers. Unhappy buyers = you're untrustworthy = no more buyers for you. Simple formula.

Example of happy happy information: DIY guides, how to/repairing e-books, help videos/articles/phone calls, online helps/tutors/instant messaging, reviews, etc that covers about money money, healthy healthy, being happy, all sorts or any kinds of information.

You should keep in mind, even though this happy happy information niche is extremely easy to create by ourselves, the free version of happy happy information is the greatest money-niche of all~ ;-)

How to Find & Choose a Profitable Niche? Ver 2.0: 5 Value Picks >>

.: Have you tried the simplest way to spot your niche?   :-)

In my previous post, the first task for us to complete is to spot our niche by using the simplest method ever. Now, the second part of our lesson is to choose and select which niche is going to give more profit among all niches we've found earlier.

Before we continue, let us immerse ourselves in this motivational quote~~   ;-)

This quote gives us the ultimate clue in obtaining our real million - in order to get that money, we sells something that everybody needs every day. Seriously straightforward~   X-D And because we are doing online business, instead of targeting big market with more buyers, we choose to sells in much smaller market, a niche market where every buyers buys every day (achieving this target alone can give us 4 figures income per month)~~   ;-)

To choose a profitable niche, we need to sort out our niches first. We need to keep in mind that what we want is a niche which will be valuable (aka profitable) when we do online business with it. Below is the five criteria for a niche to be considered valuable:
  • it give us higher profit,
  • it is more popular than the rest,
  • always get continuous demands,
  • sells better with accessories,
  • and if we're lucky, a recurring niche is the most valuable niche of all~   ;-)
One of the necessary tools to help us in determining how valuable a certain niche is by using Google Insights, a free IM tools by Google. Of course there is a lot of (better) tools out there, such as the birdy Niche Blueprint 2.0 or the handy stream of Micro Niche Finder, as starters we use this free tools first. :-)

How to Find & Choose a Profitable Niche? Ver 1.0: Eye and Ear >>

.: Greetings to my dear niche colleagues~~

It's been kinda busy lately and now it's time to follow up my previous post. (Being busy is good thing, makes me think and think and think about my next post~~). Today's target: min 3 articles posted. Heeheehee~   ;-)

After reading and getting a hint what is a niche definition before, we need to take action. Yes, niche-ing is good, it takes lots of our unnecessary workload out and left us to finish a more simpler and manageable tasks. But how to choose and spot a niche? More importantly, a profitable one?

First, we talk about niche spotting. Based on my previous study, the easiest way to spot a niche is by 'opening our eyes wide and listening with both ears'. Quite ironic, but that is the simplest way ever in spotting a niche, honestly! :-)

Open our eyes wide: Spot any TV/newspaper/banner/brochure/internet/whatever ads near you.
Listen with both ears: Spot any needs/demands/requests/wants/claims/problems/whatever you heard around your community.

Why are you doing this? It is primarily because a niche is a distinct market of demand for a products or a services. By taking note of what people wants and needs, we will be able to notice what way can we serve (sells to) them. Logic?   ;-)

The eye reasoning: Usually, ads in TV or newspaper is the ads from companies which have been making real money with their existing products or services. They know that their ads do caters a big portion of the market. Our initial job actually has been simplified by them - which is looking for buyers for our products/services (while at the same time confirming there is a demand for it). So, what we need to do now is to narrow down their ads to find a smaller and special market, and that is our niche.

The ear reasoning: This one is pretty tricky, but it is very direct. We heard straightaway what our prospect wants. They usually will asks for solution, or need help in solving their problems, for example how to repair their home appliances, or how to care their plants, etc. Sometimes we can heard current trends from them, what is the newest fashion, best homemade recipes, etc and this type of verbal information is definitely the niche we need to grab.

So, that is my two simplest way to spot a niche market. Start watching and listen to your surroundings, and then grab your niche one by one~~   ;-)

What is Niche Definition and Why Niche-ing is Important for Internet Marketers?

Okay, here comes the first hurdle of our online business. Determining our business niche - what is a niche and why knowing about it is important.

To start our online business, we need to choose what we want to sell - products or services. After that, we need to find if there is any demand for it. When there is no one buys, it has no demands. Demands exists = buyers exists = we can start selling, yayy!~~  :-D

Now we talks about buyers (demands). A large number of buyers do shows a big market, few buyers, well, the market for that particular products/services is (currently) small. This big and small market can influence our business priorities either to seriously start selling or not, because for big market, logically we can sells more compared to smaller market.

However, there is one market which is not so small nor not too big, but is filled with buyers who demands for special needs. This market exists in almost any type of market, does not matter of it's size. It is actually a narrowed down market, where here our buyers demands for specific type of products or services (they can be quite demanding too). And this special market is called the niche market.

Again, niche, in a simple definition is a distinct market of demand for a products or a services.

This so-called niche market is what we internet marketers search for. And yes, definitely for beginners, you need to get this special market no matter what, by hook or by crook. But why niche market is so special, so that important?

When dealing with big market, normally we create such product or services that is customized for all buyers. We mass produce gadgets, medicines of general use or we provide services which able to suits all type of buyers. Well, that is obvious because many would use them, but niche market is kinda special and it is very profitable.

Niche market consists of buyers with special demands. Special demands need special product created for them. Special demands also in need of special service catered for them too. And, because we sells generalized items before, this niche market is left behind. Nobody or there is only a few who caters this special market for them. And that means opportunity for us - whoever able to give them what they need, he or she might become the sole provider or their primary resource for that niche. Wow, imagine how much we will earn if we are the one~  ;-)

That is why we need to focus on this niche market. ;-)
