While searching on how to create a strong password, as always, I love to read other search results that catch the eye~~ (sometimes taking most of my searching time). It is a story about how fragile and vulnerable a password is. Poor thing.. :-( We must do something about our password, practically, about choosing them.

So, why choosing your own password is so important?

As an internet marketer, passwords is a very critical aspect for our business. Password is our primary key to open our email, bank accounts, twitter, social sites, or maybe, to a certain degree for our success. If anyone get hold of our password of any online account, that means disaster (and losses).

Keep our personal data private

Internet can be our buddy or our enemy. Keeping our private information should be the first thing in mind when we are online. Sensitive information such as our full name, phone number, our address should not fall into wrong hands. Our personal information can be used against us-the danger of being impersonated, being scammed, or sold to other parties so they can sell specific products to you (they know your sickness, your hobby, etc). Sometimes you'll wonder how did they know everything about you?

Secure our earned money

In terms of security, our bank do have the safest and reliable technology that prevents unauthorized individuals from accessing our accounts. But for internet banking, you'll need a medium to sign in your online bank account - usually using your email, and your mobile number. That is 'their' chance to get your money. They crack your password's email, and then they can access your account. I wonder what they'll do with our money?? :-(

Prevents (slows down) others from stealing our hard work

The most prized lesson of all, as an internet marketer, is knowing that someone use your new idea and sell it online (ebook, audio recording, text transcripts, etc). As for some of us who do a lot of JV's with other IMers, our most common way to contact and discuss our material together is through our messenger and email. If they know our password, they can get access of our project's draft, our attachment, our discussions, everything and this is very unfortunate for us. Online competition can get so fierce that someone might do whatever they can to get our project in their hands.

How to create a strong password for an email? (or any account) >>

How to create a strong password for my email or any online account??

Mmm, you probably reading this post from my email-making ebook (Gmail and Yahoo! mail) or from my other post. And I assume that you already using a strong password, but would you like to know if your password is strong enough?

Password = Watchword

Citing the definition from Wiki, a password is "A secret word or string of characters that is used for authentication, to prove identity or gain access to a resource (example: an access code is a type of password)." The password must be kept secret from those not allowed access, and I mean it from all of them.

So how to create a super password?

It's hard to determine a very super strong password. The success of superbness of your password can happen only when:

• your password is super long which you'll need to apply for a special account because of your password contains 999 forever-changing characters or more
• somehow or somewhat that site of yours have super technology or encryption that ultimately prevents your password from being cracked
  
• the world is at peace, no hacker even mind to hack your account or hunt for your personal information
• plus other out-of-this-world-maybe reasons..

Sorry to worry you, below is how you can create a strong password (or use it and modify your current password).

• add extra characters inside: 8, 9, or more is recommended for a strong password.
• easy to remember, hard to guess, and never directly related to you
  
• a mixture of upper and lower case letters
• plus a mixture of numbers, and the ASCII-thing (special characters and punctuation signs)
• using my resemblance method (for bi-lingual IMers) and other methods
  

The resemblance method

I would love to share you my personal resemblance method but we should start with other strong methods. I've found 2 version that is quite handy and incorporate some of their techniques in mine.

1. Read the Microsoft 6 steps to build a strong password, using a simple and catchy sentence here.
2. Learn Scalet's method using simple and catchy sentence with a little twist-unique password for each account that you have.
   

The resemblance technique is basically simple sentences using bi-lingual word and meaning. This type of password is used together with the previous Microsoft's 6 steps. Take "love to eat durian so much" as our example.

1. We starts with l2eduriansm
2. then it becomes l2Eduriansm
3. and l2Edueendsm
4. l2EdueanDsm
5. l2Edu3anDsm
6. lastly, l2Edu3@nD> (a 10 letter password)
   

Explanation:

• substitute 'to' and it becomes '2'
• for the word 'eat', use capital 'E'
  
• here we use other language pronunciation but we spelled it our way. So, this is the resemblance part  mentioned before. Durian, a native fruit in Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia, and we change the spelling as 'due-end'. Here the pronunciation of 'due-end' resembles 'durian'. (it sounds like 'durian' a little bit) ;-P
• then add another upper case in our password, 'D'
  
• another number substitution 'e' to '3'
  
• and lastly incorporate the special characters. 'a' becomes '@' and 'sm' becomes '>'
• then it is done - 'l2Edu3@nD>' (do not use this password, okay?) ;-)
  

Say, another example is "major league is next week".

1. majorlinxwk
2. mejalinxwk
3. mejalinxw6
   
4. mEJ4linxw6
5. mEJ4[in*w6 (still a 10 letter password)
   

Explanation:

• 'next' is 'nx', 'week' is 'wk'
• 'major' sounds like meja in Malay. (meja is actually means table). Another resemblance in pronunciation.
  
• spell it in our own way - 'wk' (week) becomes 'w6'
  
• use numbers and capital letters
• change some letters with special characters, the letter 'L' becomes '[' and 'nx' (next) becomes 'n*'
  

My resemblance methods should give you a strange, not found in dictionary, but memorable and quite a strong password. (I've double check both paswords in Yahoo! mail and Gmail email sign up and the results is super strong password). ;-) Hope this blog post of mine will helps you creating a strong password, not just for your email but practically for any account.

Why username or login ID is somewhat important? (with keywords inside) >>

First, what is a username? A username, login name, login ID, user ID, and other variations is actually the same thing. It is a unique name for your account, in this case, your email account. As an internet marketeer, your email address has hidden power which you can utilise. So, what is so special about username for an email?

• SEO - search engine optimization

You might probably have heard SEO thing before. So, a username, is one way most people overlook how it can help as a SEO. By using your keyword or site name in your email, it actually contribute to your site SEO.

• Branding

Using your site name in your email address lets you label and associate yourself with your site or business. For example, compare the search engine Google with their mail, Gmail. That letter 'G' resembles Google and people can easily associate Gmail with Google. And we want to be just like that, our email address comes together with our site branding. ;-)

• Memorable

A unique, strange and rhythmic username would be more memorable than a casual username. Why it must be unique? Because we need people to remember us and our site. A funny name might be helpful for increasing our chances to be remembered, but such name might backfires us back.
That is the top 3 important aspect when choosing our username. It is not limited just for an email account, but it can be used in other accounts too. SEO, site branding and become memorable is a hidden power which we could utilise easily. Start thinking a good username and you now on the right track in our lenghty and profitable IM journey. ;-)

Apa yang berlaku (selalunya bila nak beli dan selepas pembelian ebook) berdasarkan gambar di atas~~

• terpaksa berhadapan dengan sales letter (surat jualan) yang panjang berjela-jela
• testimoni terlampau dari pelanggan dan otai2 yang menyokong jualan
• kebaikan dan kegunaan maklumat dari ebook yang terlalu bagus, terbaik lagi bermanfaat untuk bakal pembeli
• hakikat harga jualan bagi ebook
• kepayahan mencari link dan memuaturun ebook yang dibeli
  
• maklumat dalam ebook yang tidak memenuhi jangkaan awal
• kegunaan sebenar ebook yang sedikit
• kesukaran memahami kandungan ebook
• tiada tempat bertanya (khidmat pelanggan selepas jualan) atau forum/laman sesawang/FAQ berkenaan ebook
• udahnya, pembeli akhirnya tak tau nak buat apa. Kadang-kadang menyesali pembelian yang dibuat, atau pujuk diri sendiri dengan 2 sindrom parkataan popular - 'Information Overload Syndrome'~~

Kesian untuk diri sendiri (termasuk m2mdoh) dan juga teman-teman yang mendapati ebook yang dibeli kurang membawa kesan. Tak mengapa, mungkin kita sebenarnya yang tak faham apa-apa, tapi terpengaruh dengan kebaikan dan kegunaan ebook yang dibeli. Tu yang buat kita tak fikir panjang nak beli satu.

Nasihat untuk membeli ebook:

• kalau kita betul-betul tengah cari maklumat dan ebook tu ada maklumat yang kita mahukan, bolehlah kita membelinya
• kadang-kadang nak beli ebook sebab nak dapatkan bonus atau MRR/PLR yang ditawarkan. Jadi, tanya diri betul-betul kita pakai ke tidak bonus atau MRR/PLR tu
• ada tak jaminan diberikan? Jaminan wang dikembalikan, jaminan khidmat pelanggan selepas pembelian, jaminan yang boleh disebut jaminan yang betul. Tengok berapa lama masa untuk sesuatu jaminan. Kadang-kadang jaminan diberi 30 hari, masa nak download ebook kena tggu 2 minggu. Masa terima aduan pula perlu diproses lagi seminggu. Masa untuk wang dikembalikan pulak samada 3 bulan lagi selepas tarikh terima aduan, atau duit tidak dikembalikan. Macam-macam trick ada..
• cara pembayaran. Kalau bayar terus sekali sahaja tak jadi masalah. Tapi jangan nanti rupa-rupanya duit dalam akaun ditolak setiap minggu setiap bulan sebab ebook perlu dibayar berkali-kali. Berhati-hati semasa mengisi borang pembayaran.

Hari yang penuh bersemangat. Dalam sedikit masa lagi, m2mdoh akan post-kan berkenaan e-mel, autoresponder percuma, kekuatan kata laluan, blueprint IM yg m2mdoh praktik dan beberapa post lain. Sekarang m2mdoh masih lagi menyediakan artikel yang berkaitan dengan pautan ke laman sesawang terbabit.

Membuat List

Untuk mana-mana IMers yang baru mula bertapak dalam bidang ini, blog ini akan menunjukkan tools yang menarik dan percuma agar dapat membantu mengurangkan kos anda di samping memberi penerangan percuma bagaimana hendak membuat duit dan memulakan perniagaan di internet. Antara yang paling mustahak untuk kita dalam bidang IM ini ialah mempunyai autoresponder sendiri. Kegunaan utama autoresponder ialah untuk membuat list, kerana tanpa list, anda mungkin sukar membuat pendapatan yang berulang.

Tapi untuk menggunakan full-feature autoresponder memerlukan kita mengeluarkan kos. Kita baru hendak memulakan IM, jadi jika ada cara atau teknik yang boleh mngurangkan kos, kita guna dahulu. Kemudian selepas sudah mempunyai pendapatan, barulah kita beralih ke khidmat autoresponder berbayar. Memang yang percuma mempunyai kelemahan, tetapi di mana ada kemahuan, di situ ada jalan. Kan? 'Autoresponder' Percuma

Jadi, tunggu post yang akan datang untuk bagaimana mendapatkan 'autoresponder' yang boleh anda hasilkan sendiri. Ianya percuma, database yang unlimited, tiada sebarang kos, tiada sekatan masa, tiada iklan, tiada bayaran tersembunyi, tetapi.. yang ini anda perlu ingat. Anda perlu menghantar e-mel balas anda secara manual kepada prospek. Itu sahaja. (autoresponder kah itu?) Ok ok, ianya bukan autoresponder tetapi amat mirip dengan autoresponder. Selepas anda gunakan dan praktikkan, anda akan bersyukur kerana anda kini tidak perlu menggunakan perkhidmatan percuma yang mempunyai sekatan masa atau menyelitkan iklan di dalam e-mel anda lagi. ;-) Jadi, tunggu dan lihat.
