Post yang sebelum ini menyentuh bagaimana kita memulakan dunia internet marketing ini dengan membuat emel. Emel sebenarnya tool kita yang pertama sekali dalam dunia IM, dan tool ini boleh dimanipulasikan agar 'bekerja' untuk kita. Memang Y! mail dan Gmail yang menjadi pilihan utama untuk membuat emel, tetapi, berapa banyakkah akaun emel yang perlu dibuat??

3 Kegunaan utama

3 akaun sahaja sudah pun mencukupi - satu untuk memuatturun freebies, satu lagi untuk khas untuk aktiviti perniagaan internet, dan akaun emel yang terakhir untuk kegunaan peribadi. Akaun saranan m2mdoh? Y! mail untuk kegunaan yang pertama, Gmail untuk perniagaan, dan yang terakhir gunakan perkhidmatan emel yang anda gemari.

Akaun Y! mail sangat baik dijadikan akaun mengumpul freebies (ebook percuma, muaturun percuma, termasuklah offer dan emel follow up yang bertimbun-timbun) kerana ia menyediakan ruang simpanan yang tidak terhingga. Gmail pula bagus untuk aktivit perniagaan kerana perkhidmatan-perkhidmatan percuma mereka, contohnya Blogger, carian kata kunci (keyword), mengesan trend, melakukan analisa dan pelbagai lagi yang boleh digunakan secara percuma~ Dengan syarat, kita faham bagaimana mengunakannya. ;-)

7 Cara Memanipulasi Emel bagi Internet Marketer >>

.: Benarkah akaun emel percuma boleh digunakan selain menghantar dan menerima emel??

Selalunya, apabila membuka emel, memang akan membaca, menbuang atau membalas balik emel-emel yang kita dapat. Kadang kala untuk mencetak flight itinerary yang dihantar syarikat penerbangan, membaca newsletter atau blog post terbaru, membuat pengesahan pendaftaran untuk laman sosial yang baru disertai, dan pelbagai lagi jenis emel yang kita dapat hampir setiap hari. Tetapi, sebagai internet marketer, emel boleh digunakan selain daripada fungsinya yang biasa kita gunakan.

Digunakan <-> dimanipulasikan?

Secara peribadi, m2mdoh menggunakan lebih dari satu akaun emel. Setiap satunya digunakan dengan tujuan yang berbeza-beza, agar memudahkan proses mengurus 'inventori' emel yang sememangnya bertambah-tambah. Y! mail dan Gmail, antara dua penyedia akaun emel percuma yang sangat-sangat membantu dalam dunia IM. Jadi, apakah cara-cara untuk memanipulasi akaun emel kita ini?

• Manipulasi #1: Digunakan untuk tujuan perniagaan internet
  
• Walaupun sesetengah antara kita kurang selesa dan pening menggunakan lebih dari satu akaun emel, tetapi dengan memiliki akaun emel yang berbeza untuk kegunaan peribadi dan perniagaan, sangat-sangat membantu mengurangkan kepeningan yang ada. Satu sebabnya lagi, agar kelak kita tidaklah tersalah hantar emel, contohnya terhantar emel peribadi kepada bos, kan malu jadinya nanti..

• Manipulasi #2: Tempat menyimpan semua freebies dan muaturun  ;-)
  
• Yang ini layann~~ Kenapa buat banyak akaun emel sebab salah satu emel itu nanti gunanya menyimpan semua muaturun dan offer dan follow up emel dan bermacam-macam emel apabila kita berikan untuk mendapatkan mana-mana freebies di internet. (panjang berjela jela) ;-P  Tak kisah nak cakapa nafsu ka, gila ka, sesungguhnya banyak freebies (ebook, transkrip audio, video percuma dll) dari IMers di luar sana sangat-sangat berguna untuk bahan bacaan dan menambah ilmu kita dalam dunia IM. Jadi, download jangan tak download, tapi asingkan dari akaun emel peribadi.

• Manipulasi #3: Menyimpan salinan dokumen-dokumen (atau sebagai storan kedua)
  
• Pernah mengalami USB pendrive/harddisk yang penuh? Nak simpan banyak lagi barang tapi sudah tidak muat. Jadi, dengan menggunakan storan untuk emel, kita bolehlah menyimpan dokumen-dokumen atau gambar-gambar sebelum dipindahkan ke dalam USB yang baru. Kadang-kadang, apabila bekerja dari cyber cafe, terlupa membawa USB, jadi emel boleh menjadi storan kedua untuk menyimpan kerja-kerja kita tadi. Taip emel yang baharu, kepilkan (attach) dokumen yang dikehendaki, kemudian hantar kembali kepada alamat emel anda sendiri.
  

• Manipulasi #4: Medium perhubungan dengan rakan niaga
• Oleh kerana Y! mail dan Gmail telah mengintegrasikan 'instant messenging' dalam akaun emel mereka, maka kita boleh terus berbincang atau berkongsi maklumat serentak dengan hanya membuka emel sahaja. Jadi kini kita sudah boleh terus bersembang tanpa perlu install software berlainan, atau membuka softwarenya. Menyenangkan kerja dan menjimatkan masa.

• Manipulasi #5: Kumpul semua junk emails dalam satu tempat
• Apabila kita sign up untuk freebies dari IMers lain (atau dari laman sesawang), kemungkinan untuk menerima junk emel meningkat dengan dahsyatnya. Kenapa? Kerana emel-emel follow up kadang-kadang (selalunya) mengandungi offer-offer atau majlis undangan ke webinar, seminar, atau preview produk-produk baru. Emel-emel ini bukannya emel spam, kerna kita sendiri yang setuju berikan emel untuk mereka, dengan balasan diberikan pautan untuk download freebies diorang. Jadi, sebagai langkah bijak, biarlah semua junk emel berkumpul satu tempat sahaja.

• Manipulasi #6: Untuk memberi komen di blog/laman web
• Kegunaan emel yang lain adalah untuk meninggalkan komen~ m2mdoh sendiri sebenarnya kurang gemar untuk memberi komen, tetapi jika anda mempunyai jawapan untuk persoalan/masalah pada blog mereka, maka anda amat digalakkan untuk membantu dengan memberi komen. Dan, untuk memberi komen, ia perlukan emel. Jadi gunakan emel anda tadi dan selepas itu barulah anda dapat menulis komen anda. (Di samping itu, sertakan juga pautan ke blog/laman sesawang anda juga.)

• Manipulasi #7: Sebagai 'Online reminder/event planner draft'
• Anda sedar tidak terdapatnya fungsi untuk membuat reminder dan mencatit nota pada emel anda? Jadi, selain daripada menggunakan notepad atau word atau open office, apa kata anda terus sahaja gunakan nota pada akaun emel untuk menulis catatan-catatan anda. Gunakan reminder, kalendar untuk menulis tarikh-tarikh, masa pertemuan atau rancangan anda. Di samping itu, dengan cara ini, anda tidak perlu sentiasa membawa USB anda setiap masa, atau perlu menggunakan komputer di rumah untuk melihat jadual-jadual anda.

Jadi, adalah diharapkan 7 cara memanipulasi emel ini dapat membantu sedikit sebanyak dalam urusan internet marketing anda. Jadi, selepas ini anda bolehlah menggunakan sepenuhnya kuasa akaun emel anda selain dari membaca atau menghantar emel sahaja.

My previous post shares about how we start with the power of email as our first tools in doing internet marketing. future news and info about email will be posted later, we should admit that  email is one of the important key to enter the world of online business. While I do suggest you to use both Yahoo! mail and Gmail services, you may wonder how many emails should you create?

3 Main purposes

3 email accounts would be good - one for downloading freebies, one for business use and the last one for my personal use. My recommendation? Y! mail for the first purpose, Gmail for online business, and for personal use you can use any email services to your liking.

Y! mail is great for collecting free downloads by other internet marketer out there (including collecting all limited or trial offers or junk mails) because of it's unlimited storage, and Gmail is great for internet marketing because their offers many great services for us. Google Blogger, keyword searching, spotting trends, analytics, etc and believe me, all of them is super beneficial for us to use. Provided, we understands what we are doing. ;-)

To summarize my earlier post about emails, here it is in numbered points (in reading order)~~

1. Most of us use our email account purely for writing and reading emails. But as an internet marketer, we have another 7 uses for our email account.
2. Before creating one, consider this is your online business jumpstart - use best and suitable username or login ID for your email account.
3. With good username, now comes to how we can protect our email. One way to do it - use strong password.
4. Are you sure that you are using strong password?

5. Why I said that I Loooove to use Y! mail and Gmail?

7 other email uses for an internet marketer >>

.: Is there really any other way to use my email account??

Email account, as a normal end user, were usually used for 2 basic purposes - writing and reading emails. We use it to reply our friend's email, read our weekly subscribed newsletter or maybe print out our flight itinerary. But as an internet marketer, email can serve us more purposes instead of writing and reading it.

Actually, I use more than one email myself. Each of my email is used for different purposes, mainly to simplify my everyday tasks and organize my stuff. Y! mail and Gmail is currently my preferred web-based email. And I would love to recommend you to do the same thing, as this really helps you a lot. So, what is the other uses of email that can benefits internet marketer like us? :-)

• To differentiate our personal and business use
  
• Although some might think that having too much email accounts can make you dizzy, by having different email for personal use and business use, it actually a life saver. We wouldn't want to accidentally emailed our boss or our colleagues about our horrible party last night, or sends our work report to our great grandfather, wouldn't we? Personal emails really won't mix well with our work.

• As our freebies reservoir   ;-)
  
• This is one of my preferred way how to use my multiple email accounts. Call it temptation or what, but I will definitely agree with you that free stuff is really good. Ebooks, audio transcripts, free videos, etc and all of this is worth to download and used in my online business. To avoid freebies from cluttering my other emails, I make one special account exclusively for this purpose.

• As now both Y! mail and Gmail has their build-in instant messenging along with their email service, this allows us to work and exchange information right on the spot (without the need to open the software). This enables us to do multi-tasking and greatly saves our time.

• Collect junk mails all in one place
• Sign up for freebies from other internet sites means that you will definitely to receive more junk mails, contains more offer and and more freebies. This emails cannot be labelled as spam mail because we did choose to receive their emails in the first place. So, to make things organized, use one email account to purposely receives all of this junk mails. ;-)

• For blog or site commentating
• I myself admits that I love to read others blog, but I'm not into giving comments so much. Sometimes, where I find that I do have the answers for their problems or questions, I need to use my email before being able to give comments. Here, is our chance to expose our blogs or site. By giving out our email, usually, we can include the link back to our site (some sites or blogs prohibit this). So, our email is used when we want to give comments and also to promotes our internet site.
  

• Online reminder or planner
• Becoming an internet marketer is not an easy task. We need to prepare and makes plans ahead of time to get the first prospect and give the first exposure from others. While most of us use our personal computer or laptop at home (I mean using our own preferred software to jot down our future activities or ideas), we can use the online reminder/calendar from our email to records our plans. Instead of being 'stuck' with your home computer, now we can carry on our online business almost anywhere~~ ;-)

Hope this will help us to use our email and internet at it's full potential. Email benefits us in many ways, plus right now it is likely functions as the door to open more great and awesome opportunities and services in our internet marketing world~~
